Open Play Released

Open Play is live.

Book Two of The Understanding. Rowe and Dunmore are back at Ashholt for the season after the one that got them up, with four hundred quid still on the table and a town that cannot afford to go back down. It is the longest book I have written and it is the middle of the story, so if you have not read Man To Man, start there. [See the links above]

A note from me, because I owe you one.

I am tired. This series took more out of me than anything I have put my name on. A fair piece of my soul went into these two men, and it is going to take some recharging to get it back. There were more drafts than I will admit to, nights I pulled a whole scene because it gave you a memory you did not need yet, and nights I put one back because the book was colder without it. It is long on purpose. I wanted every ounce of the pair of them on the page, and I think you will feel why.

The whole trilogy is written. Extra Time, the last of it, follows in a few weeks. Then I am going to sleep.

Enjoy.
