In my ongoing war against the same same curse, I have learned a few things about myself.

One. I can write a 20,000 to 30,000 word single POV size difference smut in about one to two weeks. Getting into the kink is not hard for me. Neither is a one-book plot, or the edits and refinement after.

Two. A series with two POVs, side characters, actual distinction between voices, romance woven through it, and a sport I had to learn well enough not to sound like a tourist, is taking considerably longer than I planned.

So the bottom line, my dear acolytes of Size Difference: The Understanding is taking longer than anticipated. Still invested in the kink. Still invested in the smut. This new recipe just needs longer in the oven.

What the process has given me is a promise worth making. I will write a series to completion. When I release a series, it is finished. Mapped from beginning to end before the first book goes out. You will never be left waiting on a book that never comes.

The Understanding is already mapped that way. This is not a lull. It is a different experience being built properly.
